Savoury Green Plant Protein Smoothie

Serves 1

  • 1 large handful de-stemmed kale
  • 1 bunch fresh parsley
  • 1/2 frozen avocado (halve, peel, de-stone & freeze overnight)
  • 1/4 cup frozen peas
  • 1/2 courgette
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • juice of 1/2 lemon or lime
  • 1 tablespoon tahini or organic houmous
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • 1-2 tablespoons of your chosen MACACHA plant protein blend
  • 3/4-1 cup water or coconut water depending on how thick you like it
  • Optional toppings: nutritional yeast, buckwheat groats, coconut chips, chia seeds, mixed nuts & seeds

Add all your ingredients to a high-speed blender and purée until super smooth! Either decant into a glass or bowl and top with an extra sprinkle of nutritional yeast or whatever other bits you may fancy.
